Radhanath Swami on Greatness of Krishna

Lord Baladeva said, “O supreme controller! These boys are not great demigods, as I previously thought. Nor are these calves great sages like Nārada. Now I can see that You alone are manifesting Yourself in all varieties of difference. Although one, You are existing in different forms of the calves and boys. Please briefly explain this to Me.” Having thus been requested by Lord Baladeva, Kṛṣṇa explained the whole situation, and Baladeva understood it.

Radhanath Swami on Krishna’s Love for Us

This increase of affection was not māyā; rather, because Kṛṣṇa had expanded Himself as everything and because the whole life of everyone in Vṛndāvana was meant for Kṛṣṇa, the cows, because of affection for Kṛṣṇa, had more affection for the older calves than for the new calves, and the men increased in their affection for their sons. Balarāma was astonished to see all the residents of Vṛndāvana so affectionate toward their own children, exactly as they had been for Kṛṣṇa.

Inconceivable Lord Krishna

The cows had younger calves who had started sucking milk from their mothers, and some of the cows had newly given birth, but now, because of love, the cows enthusiastically showed their affection for the older calves, which had left off milking. These calves were grown up, but still the mothers wanted to feed them. Therefore Balarāma was a little surprised, and He wanted to inquire from Kṛṣṇa about the reason for their behavior.

Lord Balarama Appearance

In the Srimad Bhagavatam it describes, on that faithful evening of the wedding ceremony of Vasudeva and Devaki on the chariot, as Kamsa, the brother of Devaki, was driving her to Vasudeva’s palace. At that time a resounding and ominous voice appeared in the sky, “Kamsa, you are a fool. You are taking such nice care of your sister not knowing that the eighth child, the eighth son of your sister, Devaki, will be the cause of your death.” He became very very much disturbed.

Guru and Vaisnava Blessing

Nanda Maharaj is truly a loving father who is putting his heart and his soul into pursuing the true welfare of his two beloved children Krishna Balaram. He knows that without the auspicious blessings of great personalities and without the observance of the will of God, that nothing can be auspicious in this world. In fact, one can spend enormous sums of money to perform grand, grand ceremonies – the chanting of Vedic Mantras, the offering of oblations to the sacred fire and so many other of the ritualistic injunctions.

Sucking the Poison

First when putana came in contact with Krishna, Krishna created a condition in her life where when He began to suck from her body, she could feel the very life air coming out. She was struck with fear and then she was suffering terrible pain and she was trying to resist by all means this process of purification. First thing that happened when Putana saw Krishna she was attracted to this child, she killed so many babies but when she saw Krishna she became very attractive.

Story of Madhavendra Puri

Krishnadas Kaviraj Goswami describes here that Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, after He had taken sanyas, He went to the home of Advaita Acharya – Shantipur. And there it was decided that rather than going to Vrindavan, He would go to Nilachal or Jaggannath Puri. So He took four of His associates and they began to travel. On the way – immersed in ecstatic love Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was performing wonderful Kirtans and they were stopping at many holy places.

Developing Affection

People ask, “Lord Brahma is a paramhamsa. He is a pure devotee of the Lord. In fact he is the first guru of our parampara.” Krsna at the very beginning of creation- ‘tene brahma hådä ya ädi-kavaye’. He spoke to Lord Brahma from within the heart and that knowledge and the revelations that Brahma received from the message of Sri Krsna is the seed of all transcendental wisdom.
